Greenwich, CT (September 3, 2008) — Reinsurance industry innovators, Rod Fox, former CEO of Benfield Inc., and Jim Stanard, former CEO of Renaissance Re, today announced the formal launch of TigerRisk Partners, a privately-held reinsurance intermediary built around a line-up of highly regarded industry professionals serving a select group of clients.

Joining Fox and Stanard are reinsurance industry leaders Ted Blanch, former CEO of EW Blanch; Linda Johnson, former EVP of Casualty of Benfield; Geraldine DelPrete, former EVP of Willis Re and Gallagher; Tim Bienek, former COO of Benfield and Praetorian; Marc Lauricella, former EVP of Marketing of Benfield and Praetorian; Milan Radonich, former CFO of Benfield and Praetorian; and Larry LaMere, former EVP of Operations at Benfield.

Through their partnership with the BMS Group, based in London, TigerRisk Partners [initially known as Alpha Re] has access to a full compliment of client services including actuarial, financial analysis, catastrophe modeling, contract writing, accounting, and claims.
Before founding TigerRisk, Mr. Stanard was CEO of Renaissance Re. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society; holds a PhD in Finance from New York University; and is widely regarded as one of the reinsurance industry’s leading experts in risk underwriting. Rod Fox was previously CEO of specialty insurer Praetorian and CEO of reinsurance brokers Benfield Inc. and EW Blanch.
